Is there an easier way to get your mobile phone contacts saved other than sync it with your PC or notebook through some software previously installed?. Yes, it’s called Mobyko.
Mobyko is a web app that allows you to save all your mobile names and numbers to one safe place, besides your own PC, so just in case you lose your cell phone, the most important part of it can be recovered. But not only that, you can also save photos, videos and text.
You just need to register and have a SyncML enabled phone. Not all phones are supported, and to help you find out if it’s included, there is an extensive help guide available. Of course, the service has free accounts and premium accounts. But why to get a premium account?. Well, with this service you can also send text messages to your contacts, having only 10 free messages in the free account and 100 messages in the premium. The storage limit is 10MB for the free account and 25MB for the premium, this applies only to video, text and pictures.
What’s Missing.
Video upload is supported, but not music files. I bet that contacts are the most valuable information in a phone, but things as calendar information and other types of files are not supported. I guess that is the users keeps using it, they will add things as online chat.
